Why you’d want to live in Eagle Rock
Eagle Rock is named after a massive rock outcropping resembling an eagle on its northeast boundary. You can view it off of the 134 freeway when heading east right near the Figueroa exit. This homey community just north of Downtown L.A. has been home to an eclectic core of counter-culture writers, artists and filmmakers. Occidental College, a small liberal arts school, brings a vibrant youth culture to mix in with the local community.
With it’s craftsman homes and quaint neighborhoods, Eagle Rock has a small town feel. Yet, it is surrounded by trendy restaurants, breweries, art galleries, avant-garde fashion boutiques and numerous historic homes.
